Board of Management Minutes: Jul 1894 – Jan 1902 NHNN/A/4/5

Read, letter from Mr Victor Horsley, dated 20th March; also letter from Dr Collier, dated 4th April.

Resolved, that it be referred to the House Committee and the Secretary-Director to prepare a letter to be sent to Mr Horsley, with a copy of Dr Collier’s letter pointing out that Mr Horsley was informed of Miss Dunns’ case as long ago as the 23rd December, that the House Committee did not entertain the complaint against him without inquiry, and that the Board entirely disagreed with Mr Horsley’s view that the complaints of neurotic patients should not be attended to, holding that it is the duty of the Secretary-Director and of the House Committee to inquire into any complaint made by any patient.
