An auction will be held at the Mansion House, official residence of the Lord Mayor of London, Sir George Broadbridge, today.

First edition and autographed books will come under the hammer, the proceeds to go to the National Hospital for Nervous Diseases, Queen Square, Bloomsbury. Among the lots of view yesterday were Mr Lloyd George’s “War Memoirs”, Mr Duff Cooper’s “Talleyrand”, Mr Winston Churchill’s “The World in Crisis”, Mr Bernard Shaw’s “Candida” and Mr H G Wells’s “The First Men in the Moon”. The sale is at 3 pm.
