Matron’s Reports NHNN/N/3/2

Cicely U Tafe – reports from 21 May 1929 to 22 May 1945

‘I am enclosing a letter from Miss Ollerenshaw, Sister of Chandler and Annie Zunz wards. On April 24th a man was told in the Engineer’s department that the electric light had nothing to do with him. He did not leave the building, but went up to the bedrooms on the west corridor. The cleaner believing he had been sent up by the Engineer gave him the pass key to the rooms. Afterwards we found that he had taken a gold watch, 10/- note and a bag containing a silver medal and 1/6. The police were notified, but without any result up to the present.

Yesterday the Mayor of Holborn presented the children in the Hospital with teaspoons to commemorate the Silver Jubilee.’
