Mr S G

Mr G wrote on 20th September 1929: “I have been advised by Mr Miller, in view of his resignation as organist of the National Hospital, to write to you stating that I will be pleased to be elected organist in his stead. As you probably know I have been deputizing at the hospital for Mr Miller the last six months and am fully conversant with the order of service. If my application is favourable I can assure you that I will at all times give of my best. I propose to have a weekly rehearsal to improve the singing and have already spoken to the Matron regarding same. I am an Associate of the Royal College of Organists and am Organist and Choirmaster of St George the Martyr Church and Schools, Queen Square.”

Mr G was appointed organist in October 1929.
