Description: The Nervous Diseases Research Fund - report and statement of income and expenditure for period 1 January 1909 to March 1911, 1911; appointment of trustees of the residuary fund under the will of the late Zachary Merton bequeathed for the establishment of convalescent homes, 1932; form of bequest, 1936; illustrated fund raising booklet, containing reproduced photographs showing 'remedial exercise students at work', 'teaching school attended by medical men from all parts of the world', 'the only operating theatre in the hospital - built at the beginning of the century', 'an inefficient means of transferring patients after an operation - will you help us to remedy this?', and including remittance form, bankers' order form and advertisements, 1930s; fund-raising leaflet publicising the work of the After Care Department, including form for donation - two versions, one incorporating a reproduced photograph of a baby in a hospital bed holding a doll, the other showing two children, captioned 'John and Tony in Zunz Ward with their [toy] animals', 1930s; fund-raising leaflet, subtitled 'A short history in pictures of the oldest and largest hospital in the United Kingdom specializing in this important work', with eleven reproduced photographs illustrating the history of the Hospital, and showing the entrance to the Hospital protected by sandbags, and the Hospital following air raid damage, c1940; stamp, priced six pence, advertising the National Hospital for the Paralysed and Epileptic combined appeal (no date).
