Description: A 9 minute B&W and colour silent film showing five patients in the 1950s and 1960s with Wilson's Disease (hepatolencticular degneration) including lack of arm mobility and articulation, involuntary movements, and impairments of walking and balance. Professor C.D. Marsden, FRS (1938-1998) succeeded Roger Gilliatt as Chair of Neurology at the Institute of Neurology in 1987. Prior to 1987 Marsden had been Professor of Neurology at the Institute of Psychiatry and Kings College Hospital medical school in 1972 where he had built up a school for the training of young neurologists in the field of movement disorders.
