This compilation has provided a snapshot of the early days of the Hospital's history. Queen Square Archives collections as a whole cover the Hospital history until 1948. The National Hospital is still the largest neurological hospital in the UK and one of the largest in the world, with 276 beds, 186,000 outpatient visits, 9,000 operations and 40,000 scans.
