Lady Superintendent and nurses.

The early medical staff were supported by a large number of nursing and domestic staff, whose appointments are documented in the first minute book of Board of Management, which is held in Queen Square Archives, and also digitised online, as is this photograph, which is also on display in the Hospital corridor in Chandler Wing. However, it was not until the First World War that the first female registrar at the National Hospital was appointed: Dr Majorie Blandy.
