Visiting the archives

Museum Case

Please contact us at neuroarchives@ucl.ac.uk

The collections are open to researchers, students and members of the public by prior appointment.

We are normally open Monday-Friday 9am-5pm. Please check our Library opening hours page for upcoming changes.

Access to the library space is via a short flight of stairs to the ground floor and then stairs or a lift to the 1st floor. A wheelchair lift is available to reach the ground floor.

(Please note that you do not need an appointment to view our exhibitions, but please check our opening hours in advance, and bring some provide proof of identity (e.g. driving licence or bank card) with you)

We regret that we are not always able to accommodate enquiries without an appointment. We will endeavour to respond to written enquiries and requests within 21 days. If you are unable to visit we will always try to help where we can, but we are unable to undertake extensive research on your behalf.

Please check our holdings before your visit. Visitors are unable to browse the collection and should advise us in advance what materials they wish to consult. The archives are for reference only and borrowing of documents is not permissible.

The archive and image collections can be searched and browsed here: Browse & Search the Queen Square Archives

All users must complete an Access request form in advance whereby they agree to comply with the regulations designed to preserve the collections, and abide by appropriate legislation.

Please remember that our collections are increasingly available online. Please check the New and interesting section and About the Archives pages
